Responsibilities

• Research: Conduct thorough research about the products our customers request to purchase. Understand the ins & outs, trends, customer complaints, potential advantages and disadvantages, differences between different brands and models, and the issues during the estimated lifetime of the product.
• Source the product:
  • Communicate and negotiate with our existing network of suppliers for the best price and on-time delivery,
  • Find and research qualified suppliers for requested products,
  • Do background research on suppliers to vet them for our quality standards,
• Present a complete solution to our customers:
  • Compile sourcing options from all qualified suppliers
  • Outline an executive summary of key issues they should be looking at
  • With a deep understanding of their ultimate objectives, draft a short recommendation based on our unbiased research
• Follow-through:
  • Ensure delivery of requested products to the customer’s satisfaction. Go beyond their expectations and gather feedback.
  • Manage assigned supplier relationships and ensure supplier qualifications and performance. Define metrics and monitor supplier performance against metrics to ensure continuous supplier improvement. Ensure supplier lead times and material recovery plans on constrained material.

Skills & experience:

• BA or BSc or equivalent combination of skills and experience.
• 3+ years related buying and planning in corporate environment. Appliances buying experience is a plus, but not an absolute requirement. 
• Analytic mindset, problem solving and negotiating skills with a solid business acumen and ability to make sound judgments in a fast-paced environment.
• “Integrity above all” mindset. We don’t win, unless it’s the right thing to do.
• Able to accommodate at least 30 minutes of meeting time in the GMT+3 (Istanbul) business operating hours, three times a week.
